EMDR & Somatic Therapy

A healing space to resolve trauma, engage the body’s innate wisdom and promote lasting well-being

In person: East Boston, MA
Virtual: Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut & Maine

Does this sound like you?

You take care of everyone else but never make space for yourself… because you’re totally fine… until you suddenly lose it out of nowhere.

You push others away and don’t even have the energy to respond to your texts. You feel lonely or unseen by others.

You work nonstop, and when you try to rest, you can’t.

You recognize you have been through a lot and haven’t been taking the best care of yourself.

You want more than traditional talk therapy. Maybe it doesn’t seem like your thing or it no longer feels useful.

Boston Somatic Therapy can help you rebuild your mind-body connection to promote emotional and physical healing. We integrate traditional talk therapy with physical techniques such as building body awareness, breathing exercises, and gentle movement. It allows space for your body to move through and heal from stressful life events, whether you are new to therapy or feel “all talked out.” Your body has the inherent wisdom to heal, and I am there to support and guide you through it.

I’m glad you’re here.

I'm Jessica (she/her), a licensed clinical social worker, Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, EMDR therapist, and Trauma Center Trauma-Sensitive Yoga Facilitator. I offer individual therapy for adults and teens seeking meaningful, mind-body-centered healing.

My approach is trauma-informed, collaborative, and rooted in both clinical expertise and deep respect for your lived experience. I support clients in reconnecting with their bodies, processing unresolved experiences, and cultivating greater emotional resilience. Whether you're navigating a life transition, feeling stuck, or working through anxiety, trauma, or relationship challenges, I provide a space to explore, heal, and grow at your own pace.

I integrate Somatic Experiencing, EMDR, and trauma-sensitive yoga with traditional talk therapy to gently support your nervous system, foster a sense of safety in your body, and strengthen your capacity for self-trust. I believe that healing happens not only through insight, but also through attunement, presence, and the restoration of embodied safety.

My practice is grounded in a social justice and an anti-oppressive framework. I acknowledge the impact of systemic injustice, intergenerational trauma, and identity-based harm—and I strive to offer inclusive, affirming, and human-centered care for people of all backgrounds.

If you're longing to feel more at home in yourself, to break free from old patterns, or to reclaim your voice and vitality, I’m here to walk alongside you with warmth, curiosity, and care.

  • Somatic Experiencing

Somatic Experiencing is a body-oriented modality that aims to heal symptoms of stress and trauma that accumulate in our bodies. It's a therapeutic model created by Dr. Peter A. Levine that helps us release patterns of fight, flight or freeze and become more resilient.

  • EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a form of therapy designed to alleviate the distress associated with traumatic memories. EMDR works by helping people reprocess traumatic memories through a combination of eye movements and other bilateral sensory input.

  • Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga

Trauma Sensitive Trauma Center Yoga (TCTSY) is based on central components of the hatha style of yoga, where participants engage in a series of physical forms and movements. Elements of standard hatha yoga are modified to maximize experiences of empowerment and to cultivate a more positive relationship to your body. TCTSY can be incorporated with individual therapy or done on its own.

  • Individual Talk Therapy

Individual therapy sessions are designed to address your treatment goals and provide symptom relief. Therapy sessions are typically a blend traditional talk therapy with skill building, psychoeducation and somatic work. Sessions can include EMDR, Somatic Experiencing and yoga.

  • Therapy Intensives

Intensives are longer-format sessions designed to be effective and efficient to support your treatment goals. They can be focused on EMDR or Somatic Experiencing. Sessions will include real-time practice and integration. Intensives are done as 90-minute or three hour sessions and can be 1-5x per week depending on treatment goals, modality and timeline.
